The trip to Estonia was a huge success. I hope to share the beautiful fibers I found there with all of you very soon. I learned so much on this trip! I drank it in like cool water. I can't wait to share all of the great knitting techniques and projects I have spinning around in my head. Greetings from Estonia! The colors and textures of this Baltic country are inspiring, and the  artists of Estonia have certainly responded to create beautiful and unique yarn, knitting and weavings.  From Tallinn, we traveled to the quiet village of Viljandi (pronounced Villyandy). We first visited the open air museum to begin to understand early life and fiber arts in Estonia. Arrived in Tallinn to a bright sunshine filled day. The hotel is in a charming part of the city called, “Old Town.”  As luck would have it, there’s a Medieval Festival in Tallinn this weekend. Everyone was in costume, except of course me. There were amazing hand crafted items made in Estonia by Estonians. Could it be better?
