What we're knitting . . . .

What we're knitting . . .

The team at The Wool Cabin never stops knitting, but during the long evenings of winter we settle in to get plenty of knitting time in. We LOVE it when you share what you're knitting and crocheting, so we thought we'd share what we're doing, too. We all have our favorites, of course! Danna loves sweaters, anything with cables or colorwork. Jill loves wraps of all kinds, and colorwork hats. Jaki loves anything a little funky, while Vivian will fall head over heels for a lace project every time. And me? I'm a devout sweater knitter. Give me a choice and I'll cast on a sweater (or two) every time!

Scout, by Kelbourne Woolens

This past month, I've fallen in LOVE with a yarn just released last fall.
Scout by Kelbourne Woolens,
is 274 yards of 100% sumptuous, squishy, yummy Wool in every gorgeous skein. It comes in beautiful colors, is soft against the skin, but has just enough tooth to knit colorwork like a dream. I've been knitting the Blaithin by Kate Davies. Scout is perfect for this or any colorwork pattern.

Blaithin, by Kate Davies

"Blaithin," is an Irish name meaning "little flower" and the design is as sweet as the name. Blaithin includes several fun details and opportunities to learn new techniques. The sweater has set in pockets, short row shaping, a sewn steak and an I-cord edging, in addition to it's colorwork yoke. The result is a beautiful, wearable sweater in a yarn that is a delight to knit with and wear.

Happy Knitting!
